Lake Maggiore and its treasures

DAY 1

Arrival in Stresa and check-in in hotel. A day to discover the Borromean Islands, Mother Island (Isola Madre), known for its particular English botanical garden that preserves rare plant species coming from all over the world, the Fishermen’s Island (Isola Pescatori), a picturesque village of fishermen and Bella Island (Isola Bella) with its baroque palace and Italian terraced garden. Dinner in a gourmet restaurant in the centre of Stresa and overnight stay.

DAY 2

Breakfast in hotel and check out. Transfer with your own car to Angera, to visit the famous Angera Castle. Inside the castle there is the historical museum of dolls and a contemporary art exhibition called “Utopie Fantastiche” (Fantastic utopias).

• boat transfers from Stresa to the Borromean Islands (shared with other people);
